For nearly two decades, my work has brought me to collaborate with non-profit organization and collaborate with artists to build and implement community based arts programs and inter-arts installation projects. Since 2018 my focus has been on creating and directing community inter-arts projects based in social justice, reproductive justice and other themes centred in advocacy and activism.

My work in this capacity includes curating exhibitions that connect participating community artists within the non-profit organizations I work with, with professional artists. I create exhibitions that act as a call and response, a meeting place between what we deem as “professional” worlds and the “outside” world. These exhibitions aim to bring to light the understanding that marginalized lives are only marginalized because we have created a system that places them at the margins.

Instead we can create spaces where art becomes a dialogue often too uncomfortable or awkward to have through words. Exhibitions can provide spaces for humility and accountability, allowing connection within a world often divided.

Let’s work together

The roots of all collaborations is engaging in conversation.
