Surfacing
Surfacing is a co-curated exhibition between Catherine Mellinger, Sarah Kernohan, KW Habilitation and the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery.
The exhibition featured works created by artists from the KW Habilitation community who are adults with developmental disabilities. Over the course of 16 weeks, artworks were created exploring collage, mixed media, charcoal, watercolour, assemblage and other mediums. These artworks were exhibited in the Berlin Art Tower at Kitchener City Hall, allowing marginalized artists’ work to be shared with the public.
